The 2020 Domaine du Pégau Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée A Tempo Blanc is a magnificent, highly limited, and profoundly complex biodynamic French white wine crafted as the sister wine to the legendary red Cuvée Da Capo. Pours a bright, clear golden hue in the glass, releasing an aristocratic bouquet of white flowers, honeysuckle, jasmine, and green tea, layered with rich undertones of orange blossom and honeyed brioche. On the palate, this full-bodied wine seamlessly marries a traditional Rhône oiliness with a Grand Cru Burgundy-like precision, delivering concentrated flavours of ripe peach, pear, and candied citrus. Vinified and matured across a striking trio of concrete eggs, sandstone eggs, and a three-year-old French oak barrel with blocked malolactic fermentation, it finishes with a riveting, remarkably long trail of intense Riesling-like minerality and sappy herbs.
