Domaine d'Eugenie Vosne-Romanee Clos d'Eugenie 2023

Crafted in the famed Côte de Nuits region of Burgundy, France, Domaine d'Eugénie Vosne-Romanée 'Clos d'Eugénie' 2023 is a rare, monopole-level red Pinot Noir produced under the stewardship of the François Pinault family (owners of Château Latour). Situated directly adjacent to the historic estate house and immediately below the Grand Cru site of La Tâche, the Clos d'Eugénie is a precious 0.57-hectare walled vineyard (formerly known as Clos du Fratin). Managed under organic and biodynamic principles by director Frédéric Engerer, these mature vines are rooted in clay-limestone soils that yield a wine of striking precision, intense perfume, and remarkable silkiness. In the expressive 2023 vintage, hand-harvested grapes underwent rigorous sorting before gentle whole-berry fermentation using native yeasts. Maturation took place in fine French oak barrels (approximately 30% to 40% new) before being bottled unfined and unfiltered to retain its purest terroir expression.

Food Pairing: Duck breast with cherry reduction, roasted rack of lamb, pan-seared veal chops, roasted pheasant, wild mushroom risotto, coq au vin, and artisanal French cheeses such as Époisses, Comté, or Delice de Bourgogne.
