Crafted in the famed Côte de Nuits region of Burgundy, France, Domaine d'Eugénie Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru 'Aux Brûlées' 2023 is a legendary, highly coveted Premier Cru red Pinot Noir produced under the ownership of the François Pinault family (owners of Château Latour). Situated on the northern slope of Vosne-Romanée immediately adjacent to the iconic Grand Cru Richebourg, the Aux Brûlées vineyard is globally revered as one of Burgundy's grandest Premier Crus. The name "Brûlées" references the intense solar heat absorbed by the site's reddish, stony clay-limestone soils, yielding fruit of extraordinary aromatic concentration and velvety power. Originally acquired from the historic René Engel estate in 2006, these old vines are meticulously farmed using organic and biodynamic practices under the precision leadership of director Frédéric Engerer. In the expressive 2023 vintage, hand-harvested grapes were optical-sorted and vinified using native yeasts. Maturation took place in fine French oak barrels (approximately 40% to 50% new) before being bottled unfined and unfiltered, encapsulating unmatched aristocratic depth and fine-grained longevity.
