Domaine d'Eugenie Vosne Romanee 2023

Crafted in the famed Côte de Nuits region of Burgundy, France, Domaine d'Eugénie Vosne-Romanée 2023 is an exquisite, highly prized red Pinot Noir produced under the stewardship of the François Pinault family (owners of Château Latour). Established following the acquisition of the historic René Engel estate in 2006, Domaine d'Eugénie combines legendary terroir with the precise, uncompromising winemaking standards of director Frédéric Engerer. Sourced from choice village-level plots across Vosne-Romanée—including old-vine parcels in lieux-dits like Les Vigneux and Les Communes—the deep clay-limestone soils impart the wine's signature velvety depth, aristocratic spice, and refined structural poise. In the balanced, expressive 2023 vintage, hand-harvested grapes underwent strict optical sorting and gentle whole-berry fermentation using native yeasts. The wine matured for 12 to 15 months in French oak barrels (approximately 30% to 40% new) before being bottled unfined and unfiltered to preserve its brilliant aromatic perfume and terroir authenticity.

Food Pairing: Duck breast with cherry reduction, roasted rack of lamb, pan-seared veal chops, roasted pheasant, wild mushroom risotto, coq au vin, and artisanal French cheeses such as Époisses, Comté, or Delice de Bourgogne.
