Domaine des Perdrix Echezeaux du Dessus Grand Cru

Crafted in the famed Côte de Nuits region of Burgundy, France, Domaine des Perdrix Échezeaux Grand Cru 'Du Dessus' is a monumental, world-class red Pinot Noir produced by the Devillard family. Located in Flagey-Échezeaux, the Échezeaux du Dessus plot represents the historical heart and absolute highest-quality climat within the Grand Cru vineyard, situated directly above Les Poulaillères and bordering the legendary Grand Échezeaux. Resting on gravelly clay-limestone soils over Bajocian limestone bedrock, the estate's old vines yield fruit of extraordinary aromatic purity, depth, and structural complexity. Practicing sustainable and precision viticulture with low yields, the hand-harvested grapes undergo rigorous double sorting. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled open vats with native yeasts, followed by 18 to 20 months of maturation in fine French oak barrels (approximately 80% to 100% new). Unfined and unfiltered, this prestige cuvée stands as a benchmark expression of Grand Cru Burgundy built for long cellaring.

Food Pairing: Serve on its own as an extraordinary, Grand Cru tasting experience, or pair with roast duck breast with cherry reduction, pan-seared rack of lamb, roasted venison, wild boar ragù, wild mushroom risotto, and artisanal French cheeses like Époisses or aged Comté.
