About the Domaine de Baronarques 2020
Domaine de Baronarques is the flagship red wine of the Rothschild family estate in Limoux, blending Bordeaux and Mediterranean grape varieties. Rich aromas of blackberry, black cherry, violet, spice, and cocoa lead to a silky palate with refined tannins, freshness, and remarkable balance.
Food Pairing: Pair with grilled lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, wild mushroom dishes, or aged hard cheeses.
94 Points - James Suckling
Lots of blackberries, dark chocolate, stone, and hazelnut. Lots of purple fruits. Full-bodied with polished tannins and a smoky, meaty and fruity finish. Very solid. Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Malbec. Drink after 2025.
93 Points - Wine Enthusiast
This is a delicious red blend. Blackberry and baked blueberry open on the nose along with summer-kissed red raspberry and sundried red cherry. Additional notes of violet blossom, pomegranate and rhubarb emerge on the palate and carry through to a long, slightly chalk-dusted finish.
