Domaine d'auvenay Auxey Duresses 2006

Crafted in the Côte de Beaune region of Burgundy, France, Domaine d'Auvenay Auxey-Duresses 2006 is an extraordinary, globally coveted white Burgundy produced by legendary winemaking icon Lalou Bize-Leroy. As Madame Bize-Leroy's private personal estate, Domaine d'Auvenay operates under uncompromising biodynamic principles with micro-yields and painstaking vine attention, rendering its wines among the rarest, most prized, and valuable in fine wine history. Sourced from choice white Chardonnay parcels in Auxey-Duresses—including renowned lieux-dits like Les Clous and Les Boutonnières—the cool microclimate and steep, limestone-rich soils impart intense precision and electric acidity. Hand-harvested with berry-by-berry sorting, the 2006 fruit underwent gentle pneumatic pressing and spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. Maturation took place in fine French oak barrels without fining or filtration, resulting in an Auxey-Duresses of unprecedented power, textural depth, and multidimensional complexity.

Food Pairing: Serve on its own as an extraordinary, once-in-a-lifetime tasting experience, or pair with butter-poached lobster, pan-seared sea scallops, roast Bresse chicken with wild morchella sauce, and aged French cheeses like Comté or Époisses.
