A burly, thickly textured medicinal pinot noir that is doused with obtuse drying oak tannins and walnut overtones. This feels as if it were left in oak for too long. The alcohol, a burn across the Adam's apple. There is plenty of flavor here, if not a great deal of finesse. Reminiscent of something rustic from central Italy. Admittedly, there has been a regime change at this address since. Drink now.
