Domaine A Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

A distinctive cool-climate Cabernet with blackcurrant, dark berry, violet and rose aromas accented by savoury herbal notes. The palate is concentrated and structured, with fine-grained tannins, fresh acidity, an inky texture and persistent mineral length.

At ten years of age, this is showing some tertiary tobacco and autumnal leafiness, but remains fresh and composed. Blackcurrant and dark-cherry aromas with plenty of sweetly spicy oak, too. The palate has density with elegance, real poise and concentration. Acidity and tannin structure are nicely interwoven. Drink or hold.
