About the Domaine Bulliat Fleurie Amphora
Crafted in the heart of the Beaujolais region of France, Domaine Bulliat Fleurie is an exceptional, certified organic Gamay produced by father-and-son winemakers Noël and Loïc Bulliat. Situated on the rolling hills of Fleurie—often celebrated as the "Queen of Beaujolais"—the estate’s old vines are rooted in pink granite and quartz soils that lend a distinctly floral, silky character to the wine. Hand-harvested with rigorous sorting, the grapes undergo traditional semi-carbonic maceration with indigenous yeasts, followed by aging in a combination of terracotta amphorae and neutral oak casks. This minimal-intervention approach preserves the pure fruit brightness and floral aromatics while enhancing the wine's velvety texture and subtle stony minerality without masking its delicate varietal charm.
Food Pairing: Roasted chicken, duck confit, grilled pork tenderloin, charcuterie board with terrines and saucisson sec, roasted salmon, and soft French cheeses like Brie, Camembert, or Saint-Marcellin.
