Domaine d’Auvenay Auxey-Duresses Les Clous 2009

Crafted in the Côte de Beaune, Burgundy, France, Domaine d'Auvenay Auxey-Duresses 'Les Clous' 2009 is an extraordinary, legendary white Burgundy produced by Lalou Bize-Leroy. As the personal estate of Madame Bize-Leroy—the iconic force behind Domaine Leroy—Domaine d'Auvenay operates at a level of uncompromising perfection, biodynamic discipline, and micro-scale yields that has made its wines among the rarest and most valuable in the world. Sourced from the lieu-dit Les Clous in Auxey-Duresses, the old Chardonnay vines are planted on high-elevation, eastern-facing limestone slopes that preserve electric natural freshness even in warm, ripe vintages like 2009. Farmed according to strict biodynamic principles, the grapes were hand-harvested with painstaking selection before gentle pressing and spontaneous fermentation using indigenous yeasts. Aged extensively in French oak barrels without fining or filtration, this 2009 bottling transcends its village appellation, delivering a monumental concentration of fruit, laser-sharp mineral tension, and unmatched aromatic complexity.
