Diplomatico Mantuano Extra Anejo Rum is a rich, exceptionally balanced dark mixing rum crafted by Destilerías Unidas S.A. (DUSA) at the foot of the Andes Mountains in Venezuela. Designed as the ultimate versatile spirit for premium cocktails and sipping alike, Mantuano (which translates to "Gentleman" in honor of Don Juancho, the legendary figure depicted on the label) is a masterfully composed blend. It brings together distillates produced via column stills, batch kettles, and copper pot stills, utilizing a mix of both sugar cane molasses and high-quality sugar cane honeys. Aged for up to eight years in select white oak casks—previously used for maturing bourbon and malt whiskies—this rum strikes a brilliant harmony between vibrant wood spice, rich dried fruits, and a remarkably smooth texture.

Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with slow-smoked barbecue brisket, glazed pork ribs, mature gouda or cheddar cheeses, dark chocolate brownies, or a handful of roasted, salted pecans.

TASTING NOTES - A deep, clear golden-amber color with a medium body and a smooth, well-rounded, and pleasingly viscous texture on the palate.
