After 36 years of aging, rum was put for 8 months and 5 days in previously used rye-bourbon casks from the 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky.
NOSE: dark brown sugar, smoky, dried dark fruits and charred oak.
PALATE: caramel, Christmas spices, brown sugar, figs, dates, and toffee.
FINISH: maple syrup, burnt sugar, tobacco, and oak with a lingering rye spiciness. Remarkably satisfying and unforgettable. ABV: 45.0%
