Dewar's 27 Year Old Double Double 375ml

Dewar's 27 Year Old Double Double is an ultra-premium blended Scotch whisky crafted by Master Blender Stephanie Macleod, utilizing a unique and meticulous four-stage "Double Double" aging process. First, single malts and single grains are aged separately for at least 27 years. Second, the malts are blended together and rested, while the grains are blended and rested. Third, the malt and grain blends are married together and rested again. Finally, the resulting blend is finished in rare Palo Cortado sherry casks. This labor-intensive method yields an incredibly smooth, complex whisky that beautifully balances Dewar's signature honeyed elegance with the rich, delicately nutty, and subtly spicy influence of the Palo Cortado wood.

Food Pairing: Manchego or aged Comté cheese, roasted duck with a dark fruit glaze, salted caramel desserts, dark chocolate with hazelnuts, or a fine, mild cigar.

Tasting Notes : Deep, radiant amber in appearance with an exceptionally silky, luxurious, and viscous mouthfeel.

Nose : Intoxicating and highly aromatic, leading with heady floral notes, sweet heather honey, toasted almonds, dried apricot, and a hint of exotic baking spices.

Palate : Sumptuous and refined, delivering rich layers of ripe peaches, caramelized orchard fruits, sweet honey, and toasted walnuts, all elevated by the delicate, nutty, and slightly spicy influence of the Palo Cortado sherry cask.

Finish : Incredibly long, velvety, and complex, leaving a lingering sweetness of dried fruits, warm oak spices, and an elegant floral honey.

Serve : Serve neat in a Glencairn glass or snifter to fully appreciate the complex aromatics and the incredibly silky texture achieved through the four-stage aging process. A single drop of water may be added to unlock further floral notes.
