Desquiciado El Corte Red Blend

Crafted in the renowned Uco Valley of Mendoza, Argentina, Desquiciado 'El Corte' Red Blend is a bold, highly expressive high-altitude red wine created by young, innovative winemakers Gonzalo Tamagnini and Rodrigo Romero. The name Desquiciado translates to "unhinged" or "deranged," reflecting the duo’s rebellious, wild-at-heart philosophy of pushing boundaries and letting untamed mountain terroir guide their winemaking. Sourced from cold, high-elevation vineyards in Gualtallary and San Carlos situated over 1,100 meters above sea level, this small-batch blend combines Cabernet Franc for aromatic lift and chalky structure, Malbec for lush dark fruit and floral elegance, and Merlot for velvety mid-palate roundness. Hand-harvested and strictly sorted, the grapes undergo cold maceration followed by spontaneous fermentation using indigenous yeasts in small concrete tanks. The wine matures for 10 to 12 months in neutral French oak barrels and concrete vats to preserve pure varietal fruit, vibrant acidity, and the intense, crushed-stone minerality characteristic of the Uco Valley floor.

Food Pairing: Grilled Argentine ribeye (Ojo de Bife), roasted rack of lamb with herbs, empanadas, braised beef short ribs, wild boar ragù, and aged hard cheeses like Manchego or Provolone.
