Delamain Pleiade Domaine La Rambaudie Single Vineyard Grande Champagne Cognac

Delamain Pleiade Domaine La Rambaudie Single Vineyard Grande Champagne Cognac is a rare estate-grown expression from Maison Delamain's own Domaine de La Rambaudie vineyard in Grande Champagne, the Premier Cru of Cognac. Part of the prestigious Pleiade Collection, this Cognac comes exclusively from the single vineyard and is matured slowly in well-seasoned French oak. The spirit spends approximately 25 to 30 years in oak, including maturation in a 350-litre seasoned Limousin oak cask within one of Delamain's historic cellars. Bottled at 45% ABV with natural colour and no added sugar, La Rambaudie delivers an exceptionally expressive combination of ripe fruit, floral complexity, gentle spice and mature rancio.

Food Pairing: Foie gras, roast duck, aged Comte, fresh figs, poached pear, quince tart, toasted almonds, fruit cake, and dark chocolate.

Tasting Notes: Vibrant, characterful and beautifully rounded, combining ripe and fresh fruit with floral nuances, natural sweetness, gentle spice, mature rancio and restrained woody character.

Nose: Ripe cherries, Muscat grapes, fresh fig and quince, followed by vanilla, delicate spice and soft leather.

Palate: Naturally sweet and remarkably rounded, with ripe fruit, quince and developed rancio accompanied by gentle spice and subtle oak.

Finish: Long, vibrant and expressive, finishing with restrained woody notes and a delicate touch of pepper.

Serve: Enjoy neat in a tulip-shaped Cognac glass and allow several minutes in the glass for its fruit, floral notes and mature rancio to develop.
