Grof Degenfeld Tokaji Fortissimo Late Harvest Sweet White 500ml

Crafted in the historic Tokaj wine region of northeastern Hungary, Gróf Degenfeld Tokaji 'Fortissimo' Late Harvest is an exquisite, certified organic sweet wine produced by the noble Degenfeld family estate. Established in 1857, Gróf Degenfeld combines centuries-old Tokaj tradition with modern organic viticulture, cultivating pristine vineyards around Tarcal and Mád. Named Fortissimo to reflect its lively strength and vibrant harmony, this late-harvest wine is crafted primarily from Furmint and Kövérszőlő grapes that are left on the vine late into autumn to achieve high natural sugar levels and partial botrytis (noble rot) development. Hand-harvested with rigorous selection, the juice undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats to preserve pure fruit intensity, followed by a brief maturation period in fine oak barrels. The resulting wine offers a striking interplay of plush honeyed sweetness and Tokaj's signature laser-sharp natural acidity, avoiding any heaviness on the palate.

Food Pairing: Foie gras terrine, blue cheeses like Roquefort or Stilton, fruit tarts, lemon meringue pie, apricot crumble, blue-veined cheeses, and spicy Asian cuisine.
