Finca Decero The Owl & The Dust Devil Icon Blend 2018 is an exceptionally structured, layered, and deeply expressive red blend from the single-vineyard Remolinos Vineyard located in Alto Agrelo. This complex wine elegantly combines 54% Malbec, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Petit Verdot, and 9% Tannat, matured for 18 months in French oak barrels (40% new oak). On the nose, it offers an intensely aromatic bouquet bursting with ripe wild strawberries, juicy blackberries, and dark plums, masterfully woven with undertones of cracked black pepper, fresh tobacco leaf, and subtle oak spice. The palate is full-bodied, robust, and velvety, striking a wonderful tension where the plush, silky fruit profile of Malbec is supported by the firm gravelly backbone of Cabernet Sauvignon. The presence of Petit Verdot and Tannat imparts a concentrated, muscular core and outstanding structural depth, balancing its dense fruit flavors with fine-grained, grippy tannins and a lively natural acidity that leads into a persistent, harmonious finish.
