Forbidden Fruit Winery Dead End No Return Cabernet Merlot Blend

Crafted in the pristine Similkameen Valley of British Columbia, Canada, Forbidden Fruit Winery Dead End 'No Return' is a bold, richly structured red blend produced by the Venables family at their certified organic estate. Operating under their edgy "Dead End" micro-label, this wine represents the pinnacle of small-batch, terroir-driven viticulture from one of Canada’s most exciting warm-climate wine regions. A classic Bordeaux-style blend combining Merlot for plush dark fruit texture, Cabernet Sauvignon for firm backbone, and Cabernet Franc for aromatic lift and savory herb complexity, the grapes are grown on sunny, gravelly river-terrace vineyards cooled by mountain winds. Hand-harvested at peak ripeness, the fruit undergoes gentle basket pressing and small-lot fermentation. The wine is aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels for 12 to 18 months, allowing its rich fruit concentration to integrate seamlessly with velvety oak spices. The result is a brooding, complex Canadian red that delivers exceptional depth and aging potential.

Food Pairing: Grilled ribeye steak, slow-braised beef short ribs, roasted rack of lamb, venison stew, wild mushroom risotto, and aged hard cheeses like sharp Cheddar or Gouda.
