About the De Martino Tres Volcanes Chardonnay 2019 750ml
Manual harvesting, full bunch pressing, fermentation with wild yeasts in French oak barrels, including malolactic barrels. Aged for 1 year in 2500L Austrian foudre.
Winery tasting: The wine features fresh aromas of citrus and green apples. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe and intense fruit, with a smooth and creamy texture balanced by a vibrant acidity. It has depth and weight on the palate along with a long and persistent finish.
Best to allow to breathe for one hour in a wide carafe.
This Chardonnay shows ripe citrus and green apple aromas with hazelnut and smoky mineral notes adding further complexity. The palate is medium-bodied with an intense and ripe fruit core with a soft creamy texture and crisp acidity. It has depth and weight in the mid-palate and a long lingering finish.
Serve at 10-12 °C with pork, rich fish (tuna, salmon), vegetarian, poultry.

The 2019 Tres Volcanes Chardonnay was produced with grapes from Traiguen in Malleco from the vineyards of Francisco Baettig. It fermented in used barrels with indigenous yeasts and matured in a 5,000-liter oak foudre and five barrels for five months. It has an expressive nose of yellow fruit and a honeyed touch, varietal and with very integrated oak. It has moderate acidity and notable acidity and freshness, a round palate with clean and focused flavors. 5,644 bottles and 100 magnums were filled in August 2020.
