Azienda Agricola de Gregorio Magalì Rosato

Crafted in the coastal hills of Sciacca along the southwestern coast of Sicily, Italy, Azienda Agricola De Gregorio 'Magalì' Rosato is a vibrant, certified organic rosé that captures the sunny, Mediterranean essence of Sicilian terroir. Produced by the De Gregorio family, whose estate sits near the historic caves of Mount Kronio, the winery combines organic farming with minimal intervention winemaking to showcase authentic local grape varieties. Sourced from estate vineyards planted in limestone and clay soils that benefit from warm Mediterranean sunlight and sea breezes, Magalì is crafted primarily from Nerello Mascalese paired with indigenous Sicilian red grapes. The hand-harvested fruit undergoes brief skin-contact maceration to extract its delicate coral hue and high-toned floral aromatics, followed by gentle pneumatic pressing. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats with indigenous yeasts, the wine rests on its fine lees in stainless steel for several months without oak exposure to maintain pristine freshness, lively minerality, and a crisp, dry finish.

Food Pairing: Fresh seafood ceviche, grilled prawns, octopus salad, caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella, grilled salmon, tuna tartare, light pasta dishes with cherry tomatoes and basil, and soft cheeses like fresh ricotta or goat cheese.
