About the Darroze Collection Unique Domaine Le Tuc 1979 Bas-Armagnac
Darroze Collection Unique Domaine Le Tuc 1979 Bas-Armagnac is a vintage Armagnac originating from Domaine Le Tuc in Lagraulas and selected by Darroze for its Collection Unique. Produced by Jacques Salles from Baco and Ugni Blanc grapes, the spirit was distilled in 1979 and matured in regional oak before being bottled at 49% ABV. This Bas-Armagnac displays an expressive mature profile built around prune, orange peel and dried fig, complemented by fine spice and supple tannins.
Food Pairing: Duck confit, foie gras, aged Comté, prune tart, dried figs, walnut cake, crème brûlée, dark chocolate, and toasted nuts.
Tasting Notes: Golden with amber highlights, showing an intense and expressive combination of mature fruit, citrus peel, dried fruit and fine warming spices.
Nose: Prune, orange peel and dried fig accompanied by pepper and nutmeg.
Palate: Round and supple with mature fruit, liquorice, clove and white pepper supported by smooth tannins.
Finish: Long and persistent, with lingering fruit, liquorice and warming spice.
