About the Darroze 1975 Armagnac
Darroze 1975 Armagnac is a vintage French Armagnac from Gascony, distilled in 1975 and bottled as part of Darroze's tradition of preserving mature eaux-de-vie selected for their individual character. The exact Alberta release is bottled at 45.5% ABV in a 700ml format. Mature and elegant in style, it offers a refined combination of orchard fruit, dried fruit, delicate floral character, vanilla and developed nutty complexity.
Food Pairing: Duck confit, foie gras, aged Comté, pear tart, almond pastries, toasted walnuts, dried fruit, crème brûlée, and dark chocolate.
Tasting Notes: Golden in appearance with an elegant, delicate profile combining fresh and dried fruit, floral nuances, vanilla and fine mature character.
Nose: Fine and aromatic with vanilla, linden blossom, pear and dried fruits.
Palate: Delicate and refined, with silky tannins supporting pear, dried fruit and subtle vanilla character.
Finish: Elegant and persistent with almond, walnut and lingering dried-fruit notes.
