The Dalmore Select Edition 2006 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The Dalmore Select Edition 2006 18 Year Old is a distinguished Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky from The Dalmore's exclusive Select Editions collection, celebrating the exceptional character of hand-selected casks from the 2006 distillation year. Matured for 18 years in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels and further enhanced by carefully selected Matusalem and Amoroso Sherry casks, this remarkable expression delivers an elegant balance of rich dried fruits, refined oak and sophisticated Sherry influence. Bottled at 47.2% ABV with natural colour and without chill filtration, it offers a luxurious exploration of The Dalmore's signature whisky-making style.

Food Pairing: Beautifully complements dark chocolate truffles, roasted figs, aged Gouda, caramelized nuts and desserts featuring dried fruits or orange zest. Its rich Sherry character also pairs elegantly with roasted duck and savoury dishes featuring fruit-based reductions.

Tasting Notes: A richly layered and beautifully balanced single malt, offering Sherry-soaked dried fruits, honeyed sweetness, aromatic cedar, dark chocolate and warming spices. Bright citrus accents add vibrancy to the whisky's luxurious depth and lingering finish.

Nose: Enticing aromas of Sherry-soaked raisins, roasted figs, cedar wood and honey create an inviting bouquet of mature fruit and delicate oak.

Palate: Rich dark fruits intertwine with liquorice and cacao, gradually revealing elegant notes of bergamot and blood orange.

Finish: Long and refined, with lingering antique Sherry notes, ripe berries, liquorice, cassia bark and dark chocolate.
