The Dalmore 40 Year Old 750ml
About the The Dalmore 40 Year Old 750ml
"The Dalmore" Distillery is located in Alness, which is 20 miles North of Inverness. It sits on the banks of the Cromarty Firth overlooking the Black Isle, the "big meadowland" from which it takes its name.
Aged to perfection, the Dalmore 40-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a sinfully satisfying single malt whiskey like no other. This single malt whisky is brimming with decadent notes, from the aroma to the finish. The distillates are aged for 30 years in bourbon casks and moved into oloroso-sherry barrels for seven years. They are then finished in first-fill bourbon casks for three years before bottling.
The nose offers spicy and honeyed aromas that will awaken the senses, while the palate reveals notes of brioche, gingerbread, honey, and a medley of spices. The Dalmore 40-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky boasts an elegantly long and warm finish that will have you reaching for the next glass sooner than you think.
The Aroma
Cherries, plums, sultanas, toffee apple and vanilla pod
On the Palate
Orange peel, chocolate truffles, Old English marmalade and crushed walnuts
Finishing Notes
Black Forest fruits, poached pear laced with caramel and dark chocolate
