The Dalmore 18 Year Old

The Dalmore 18 Year Old is a magnificent, ultra-premium Highland single malt that showcases the distillery’s mastery of extended maturation and sherry cask finishing. The whisky begins its journey in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels for 14 years before being transferred into rare 30-year-old Matusalem Oloroso sherry butts from the renowned Gonzalez Byass bodega for a further four years of aging. The married spirit is then allowed to harmonize in upright sherry casks before bottling. The resulting malt is exceptionally rich, dark, and complex, delivering an indulgent tapestry of dark chocolate, candied citrus, dense dried fruits, and sophisticated espresso notes that embody the signature Dalmore house style.

Food Pairing: Rich dark chocolate torte, venison with a blackberry reduction, pecan pie, roasted chestnuts, and mature blue cheeses like Stilton or Roquefort.

Tasting Notes : Rich mahogany with deep golden highlights in appearance, featuring a heavy, velvety, and luxuriously coating mouthfeel.

Nose : Rich and aromatic, opening with vibrant notes of vanilla, dark chocolate, and orange marmalade, followed by sweet cinnamon, nutmeg, and dark roasted coffee beans.

Palate : Full-bodied and indulgent, delivering dark chocolate, candied citrus peel, and juicy raisins, seamlessly integrated with notes of sweet spice, rich espresso, and toasted oak.
