Dal Forno Romano Amarone Della Valpolicella 2016

A legendary and ultra-luxurious Venetian masterpiece from the exceptional 2016 vintage, displaying an incredibly dense, opaque inky-purple color. The explosive and complex bouquet opens with majestic aromas of black cherry jam, dark chocolate, espresso grounds, and balsamic hints, woven with layers of licorice, exotic baking spices, and sweet pipe tobacco. On the monumental, full-bodied palate, it offers an astonishingly rich, velvety texture and unrivaled concentration, where massive fruit depth is flawlessly framed by refined, powerful tannins and an endless, warming finish.

Food Pairing: A true meditation wine best enjoyed on its own, or paired with slow-braised wild boar, roasted venison with a rich reduction, or well-aged, sharp cheeses like mature Parmigiano-Reggiano and Gorgonzola.
