Domaine Denis Mortet Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Aux Beaux Bruns

Crafted in the Côte de Nuits region of Burgundy, Domaine Denis Mortet Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru 'Aux Beaux Bruns' is an extraordinary, highly sought-after red Burgundy produced by one of the region’s most revered winemaking dynasties. Currently helmed by Arnaud Mortet, the estate is world-renowned for its painstaking vineyard work, meticulous berry selection, and seamless balance of intense concentration and floral elegance. Sourced from the prestigious Premier Cru climat Aux Beaux Bruns—situated on gentle east-facing slopes where limestone soils are mixed with reddish, iron-rich clay—the old-vine Pinot Noir benefits from ideal exposure and natural drainage. Hand-harvested and sorted with uncompromising precision, the grapes undergo cold maceration and gentle fermentation using native yeasts. The wine is aged for 16 to 18 months in French oak barriques (with a judicious selection of high-grade tight-grain oak) before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. The result combines Denis Mortet’s signature power and aromatic purity with Chambolle-Musigny's iconic, lace-like finesse and crushed-flower elegance.

Food Pairing: Pan-seared duck breast with cherry-port reduction, roasted rack of lamb, pan-roasted pheasant, wild mushroom risotto, squab, and artisanal soft-ripened cheeses like Epoisses, Delice de Bourgogne, or aged Comté.
