About the Yves Cuilleron Cote Rotie Lieu Dit 'Bonnivieres'
Yves Cuilleron Côte-Rôtie Lieu-Dit 'Bonnivières' is a refined, single-vineyard Northern Rhône red wine crafted by renowned vigneron Yves Cuilleron. Sourced from old Syrah vines grown on steep, east-facing mica-schist slopes in the municipality of Ampuis, this cuvée expresses the distinct terroir of the Bonnivières vineyard. In the glass, it displays a deep, dark ruby color. The nose opens with intense, complex aromas of black currant, black cherry, dried violets, graphite, cured meat, and cracked black pepper. On the palate, it is elegant, medium- to full-bodied, and beautifully structured, combining dense dark fruit flavors with fine-grained tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, mineral-driven finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with roasted rack of lamb, venison stew, beef tenderloin, duck breast, wild mushroom ragout, and aged hard cheeses.
