The Cairn Distillery CRN57° 70 Year Old is an ultra-rare, ancient blended malt Scotch whisky released by Gordon & MacPhail for their new Cairn Distillery in Speyside. Sitting on the 57th parallel north in Cairngorms National Park, the distillery released the CRN57° range featuring historic stock from Gordon & MacPhail's legendary reserves to illustrate what future aged expressions of the distillery will taste like. Aged for seven decades in oak casks, it delivers an extraordinary, rich profile boasting sherry influence, polished wood, beeswax, dried fruit, and refined spices.

Tasting Notes : Deep amber to dark mahogany appearance with a rich, viscous, and full-bodied mouthfeel.

Nose : Rich sherry, warm cinnamon, nutmeg, beeswax polish, dried fruits, and candied orange peel.

Palate : Exceptionally smooth and sweet with notes of dried tobacco leaf, citrus zest, charred oak, stewed apples, walnuts, and spicy cracked black pepper.

Finish : Long, warm, and nutty with mature oak tannins, dark fruit, and lingering roasted coffee beans.
