Signatory Vintage 100 Proof Exceptional Cask Edition #4 Craigellachie 16 Year Old 2007

Signatory Vintage 100 Proof Exceptional Cask Edition #4 Craigellachie 16 Year Old 2007 is a richly sherried Speyside single malt Scotch whisky independently bottled by Signatory Vintage. Distilled in 2007 and bottled in July 2024, this expression spent 16 years maturing in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts. Bottled at 57.1% ABV, it combines Craigellachie's robust, full-bodied spirit with the deep fruit, chocolate and warming spice character of Oloroso sherry maturation. Presented without added colouring or chill filtration, it is a distinctive addition to Signatory's Exceptional Cask range.

Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with dark chocolate truffles, aged Manchego, roasted walnuts, sticky toffee pudding, dried-fruit cake and espresso desserts. Its rich sherry character also complements slow-roasted meats and toasted almonds.

Tasting Notes: A bold, full-bodied Speyside single malt featuring stewed plums, raisins, dark cherries, rich toffee, treacle, roasted malt and warming oak spice, balanced by a subtle leathery depth.

Nose: Ripe fruit, fresh leather and oak mingle with blueberry muffins, toasted barley and sweet baking spices.

Palate: Rich and mouth-filling, with roasted malt, cocoa, dark cherries and juicy dried fruits.

Finish: Long and warming, with milk chocolate, raspberry sauce and butterscotch.
