Retaining the traditional use of oil-fired malt and old-fashioned worm tub condensers, this expression benefits from an extended 17-year maturation process in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The extra time in oak elegantly mellows its signature savory and faintly sulphury edge, elevating notes of exotic roasted pineapple, sweet vanilla, and rich oak spice. Bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration or added coloring, it is a heavy, old-school whisky with remarkable depth and character.
