A spectacular, highly acclaimed American Single Malt from the Virginia Distillery Company! Courage & Conviction Sherry Cask is crafted from 100% North American malted barley and aged for a minimum of four years in the dynamic, climate-shifting environment of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This specific expression is matured exclusively in premium, former Spanish Sherry casks sourced directly from Jerez, Spain—including Pedro Ximénez, Fino, and Oloroso. Bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV) without chill-filtration or added color, it delivers a profoundly rich, syrupy, and intensely fruit-forward flavor profile that brilliantly rivals some of the finest sherried Scotches in the world.
NOSE
Highly aromatic, rich, and sweet. Beautifully complex notes of dark cherry, dried fig, honeycomb, sugared almonds, and a bright touch of lemon zest.
PALATE
Creamy, silky, and exceptionally smooth. Lush, dessert-like flavors of caramelized plum and golden raisin are perfectly balanced by rich hazelnut, soft leather, and toffee.
FINISH
Long, luxurious, and elegant, leaving a slow, warming fade of soft caramel, dark fruit, and gentle baking spice.
