Clos du Mont Olivet Cotes du Rhone A Seraphin

Crafted in the Southern Rhône Valley of France, Clos du Mont-Olivet Côtes-du-Rhône 'À Séraphin' is a special, old-vine red cuvée produced by the benchmark Sabon family estate. Best known for their world-class Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Clos du Mont-Olivet created this bottling named À Séraphin as a tribute to Séraphin Sabon, who expanded the family domain in the early 20th century. Sourced from ancient Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault vines planted in quartz-pebble and sandy soils just outside the Châteauneuf-du-Pape boundary, this wine delivers near-Châteauneuf quality at a fraction of the price. The grapes are hand-harvested and partially destemmed before traditional fermentation in concrete tanks. The wine is then aged primarily in large oak foudres and concrete vats to preserve its vibrant, high-toned fruit purity, fine structural balance, and authentic Rhône terroir.
