About the Frank Cornelissen Munjebel Rosso
This highly acclaimed, low-intervention volcanic red wine displays a translucent yet intense ruby-red color. The bouquet is wild, complex, and captivatingly ethereal, bursting with high-toned aromas of sour cherries, wild raspberries, and blood orange peel, beautifully intertwined with distinctive nuances of iron-like minerality, crushed volcanic rock, smoke, black tea leaf, and exotic wild spices. On the palate, it delivers a medium-to-full-bodied structure powered by a vibrant, crunchy mountain acidity and an energetic core of pure red fruit. The mouthfeel is focused, tense, and beautifully alive, supported by firm, fine-grained, and dusty structural tannins that transition seamlessly into a remarkably long, savory finish defined by a stark, stony mineral persistence.
Food Pairing: Outstanding alongside roasted duck breast, slow-cooked venison stews, wild mushroom ragù, grilled lamb chops, or semi-aged regional pecorino cheeses.
