Corison Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Crafted in the heart of Napa Valley, California, Corison Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is an iconic benchmark of understated elegance, balance, and long-term ageability. Founded in 1987 by legendary winemaker Cathy Corison, Corison Winery has steadfastly stood apart from modern trends of high extraction and elevated alcohol, staying true to a classic, lower-alcohol, European-influenced style. Sourced primarily from sustainably farmed, old-vine benchland vineyards between Rutherford and St. Helena—including the historic Kronos Vineyard—the vines thrive on gravelly alluvial soils that promote deep rooting and intense linear focus. Hand-harvested at optimal natural acidity, the fruit is gently fermented in small open-top stainless steel tanks with wild yeasts before aging for approximately 20 months in French oak barrels (half new). The result is a pure, highly aromatic Cabernet Sauvignon renowned for its floral grace, savory minerality, fine-grained tannin structure, and extraordinary cellaring power.

Food Pairing: Prime grilled New York strip steak, roasted leg of lamb with rosemary and garlic, pan-seared duck breast, braised veal shank, wild mushroom risotto, and aged hard cheeses like Comté or sharp cheddar.
