The Cooper's Choice Tamnavulin 15 Year Old 2009 Cask #0772 Malaga Finish

The Cooper's Choice Tamnavulin 15 Year Old 2009 is a limited-edition Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distilled at Tamnavulin Distillery and independently bottled by The Vintage Malt Whisky Company. Distilled in April 2009 and bottled in 2024, this expression was matured in American oak before receiving a finish in a Malaga sweet wine cask. Bottled at 50% ABV from cask #0772, with only 300 bottles produced, it showcases the fruity, rich character of Speyside single malt complemented by the sweetness and complexity of Spanish dessert wine maturation. Presented at natural colour and without chill filtration, it offers a distinctive single-cask expression.

Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with almond biscotti, dried-fruit cake, dark chocolate truffles, aged Gouda, roasted almonds and caramelized pear desserts. Its rich Malaga wine influence also complements sticky toffee pudding and buttery pastries.

Tasting Notes: A rich and fruit-forward Speyside single malt featuring raisins, dried figs, caramelized sugar, dark chocolate, blackcurrants and warming nutmeg, with a wine-influenced sweetness and gently tart finish.

Nose: Raisins and dried figs mingle with caramelized sugar and a delicate hint of dark chocolate.

Palate: Sweet and full-bodied, revealing blackcurrants, brown sugar and a gentle touch of spicy nutmeg.

Finish: Medium in length, with a wine-like character, subtle tartness, dried apricots and warming oak.
