The Cooper's Choice Auchroisk 13 Year Old 2011 Madeira Cask Finish

The Cooper's Choice Auchroisk 13 Year Old 2011 Madeira Cask Finish is an independently bottled Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from The Vintage Malt Whisky Company. Distilled at Auchroisk in 2011 and bottled in 2024, this limited-edition expression combines maturation in ex-bourbon oak with a Madeira wine cask finish. Bottled at 56.5% ABV, it offers a distinctive interpretation of Auchroisk's fruit-forward character, enriched by the influence of fortified wine casks.

Food Pairing: Enjoy alongside apricot tart, caramelized pears, toasted almonds, aged Gouda or vanilla crème brûlée. Its fruit-forward profile also complements buttery pastries and dried-fruit desserts.

Tasting Notes: A fruit-led Speyside single malt with a suggested balance of orchard fruit, honeyed sweetness, vanilla and wine-influenced richness.

Nose: Suggested aromas of green apple, ripe pear, vanilla and gentle honey, with a touch of dried fruit.

Palate: An anticipated combination of orchard fruit, sweet malt, vanilla and warming oak spice, with subtle Madeira-inspired fruit sweetness.

Finish: Expected to be warming and fruit-driven, with lingering oak spice, vanilla and gentle dried-fruit sweetness.
