A great 2010 vintage Caol Ila from Gordon & MacPhail’s Connoisseurs Choice range of single malts. This release has been carefully and expertly matured in G&M's own casks with spirit entrusted to them from the Caol Ila distillery. After a years finish in ex-Sassicaia wine casks this lovely dram has lots stewed red berry flavours complimented by demerara sugar and lemon zest notes. A perfect whisky gift to to be savoured and enjoyed.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Medjool date aromas with sweet cured meats and pineapple.
Palate: Stewed red berry flavours complement demerara sugar and lemon zest.
Finish: A medium-bodied, spicy finish with lingering citrus peel and bonfire embers.
