Conceito Legitimo Red

Created by winemaker Rita Ferreira Marques as a counterpart to the estate's successful "Bastardo" wine, the Conceito Legítimo is a tribute to the simplicity and authenticity of the Douro. Sourced from 50-year-old vines at Quinta Vale de Cavalos, it is produced with a minimal intervention approach—fermented with whole bunches and native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. This unoaked red is designed for "seductive lightness," offering a fresh and "crunchy" profile with aromas of blackcurrant, cherry, and earthy forest floor. Its bright acidity and soft tannins make it an incredibly approachable, "straightforward" expression of the Douro Superior terroir.
