Compass Box Celestial

Compass Box Celestial is a limited-edition blended malt Scotch whisky produced by Compass Box. Released in 2023, this expression pays homage to the heavy, peated style of classic whiskies from eras past, blending single malts from distilleries such as Caol Ila and Ardbeg alongside older Highland malts. Bottled without chill-filtration or added coloring, it presents a rich interplay between dark peat smoke, ripe fruit, and complex oak maturation.

Food Pairing: Smoked brisket, blue cheese, oysters, dark chocolate desserts, or cured meats.

Tasting Notes : Deep golden amber in appearance with a rich, silky, and coating mouthfeel.

Nose : Maritime peat smoke, dried fruits, toasted oak, heather honey, and subtle iodine notes.

Palate : Layered and complex with notes of smoldering campfire, dark cocoa, cooked stone fruits, sweet malt, and baking spices.

Finish : Long, warm, and lingering with soft peat, drying oak tannins, and gentle fruit sweetness.

Serve : Serve neat at room temperature in a Glencairn glass, or with a few drops of water to release complex floral and smoky aromas.
