The 2020 Collosorbo Brunello di Montalcino is an expressive and elegantly structured red that captures the warm, balanced personality of this five-star vintage. Sourced from estate vineyards featuring a rare mix of red clay, galestro, and limestone, this wine is crafted by a dedicated trio of women: owner Giovanna Ciacci and her daughters Laura and Lucia. It offers a ripe and expressive nose of black cherries, baked strawberries, and raspberries, interwoven with delicate floral notes of macerated violets and fresh roses. On the palate, it is full-bodied and supple, showcasing glossy, ripe tannins and a vibrant core of acidity. Aged for three years in Slavonian and French oak barrels, it displays sophisticated tertiary notes of old leather, pepper, and malted chocolate leading to a persistent, mineral-driven finish.

The attack is firm yet balanced, with ripe, velvety tannins that turn chalkier in texture on the finish, fresh acidity and medium to full body. Despite the warmth at the end, it’s youthful and good.
