About the Collemattoni Brunello Di Montalcino
Crafted in the southern sector of Montalcino, Tuscany, Collemattoni Brunello di Montalcino is an outstanding, traditional expression of 100% Sangiovese Grosso. Family-owned and operated by Marcello Bucci, the estate practices certified organic viticulture across high-elevation vineyards situated around the village of Sant'Angelo in Colle. The vines benefit from warm Mediterranean breezes, galestro and alberese sandstone-limestone soils, and dramatic diurnal temperature shifts. Hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel and concrete tanks, the wine is aged for 30 to 36 months in large traditional Slavonian oak casks (botti), followed by extended bottle refinement. Collemattoni delivers a classic Tuscan profile featuring expressive red fruit, savory herbs, firm tannins, and vibrant mineral acidity with magnificent cellaring potential.
Food Pairing: Florentine T-bone steak (Bistecca alla Fiorentina), braised wild boar ragù, roasted leg of lamb, osso buco, wild mushroom risotto, and aged Pecorino Toscano cheese.
