Coldstream Hills Yarra Valley Chardonnay

Crafted in the cool climate of the Yarra Valley in Victoria, Australia, Coldstream Hills Chardonnay is a benchmark expression of modern Australian white winemaking. Founded in 1985 by legendary wine writer and judge James Halliday along with his wife Suzanne, Coldstream Hills has long been celebrated for producing elegant, mineral-driven Chardonnays. Sourced from estate vineyards in the cool, rolling amphitheater of the Yarra Valley, the grapes are hand-harvested and gently whole-bunch pressed. Fermented in fine French oak barrels using a combination of indigenous and cultured yeasts, the wine undergoes selective malolactic fermentation and regular lees stirring (bâtonnage) to develop creaminess and structural complexity while preserving the region’s signature natural acidity.
