About the Malternative No. 35 'La bonne cause' Cognac Petite Champagne Grosperrin Lot 71 1971
A highly rare and collectible release, Malternative #35 'La Bonne Cause' is an exceptional 1971 single-cask Cognac sourced from the renowned cellars of Grosperrin. Exclusively from the Petite Champagne cru, this expression opens with an alluring nose of polished wood, fresh blood oranges, delicate jasmine, and a touch of plum jam. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rich, and firmly textured, delivering vibrant notes of juicy nectarine, ripe mango, and dried pineapple. The finish is exceptionally long and layered, concluding with complex hints of candied fruit, leather, floor wax, and seamlessly integrated spices.
Food Pairing: Best enjoyed neat to fully appreciate its complexity, or beautifully paired with fine cheeses and dark chocolate.
