About the Domaine Coche Dury Meursault Premier Cru Perrieres
Crafted in the famed Côte de Beaune region of Burgundy, France, Domaine Coche-Dury Meursault Premier Cru 'Perrières' is universally acknowledged as the pinnacle of Meursault and one of the absolute greatest white wines produced on Earth. Sourced from a tiny 0.60-hectare parcel of old-vine Chardonnay in the premier cru’s rocky upper slope (clos des perrières area), the vineyard's stony, cracked limestone soils ("pierres") yield fruit of breathtaking mineral density and laser precision. Masterfully crafted by Jean-François and Raphaël Coche, the wine matures slowly in fine French oak barrels with long lees contact. 'Perrières' combines an explosive core of citrus fruit with intense, chalky stoniness, searing acidity, and Coche’s signature matchstick reduction, boasting multi-decade cellaring potential.
Food Pairing: Butter-poached lobster tail, pan-seared sea scallops, roasted turbot in beurre blanc, wild mushroom risotto, and aged Comté cheese.
