About the Coche Dury Meursault 1er Cru Les Caillerets
Crafted in the Côte de Beaune region of Burgundy, France, Domaine Coche-Dury Meursault Premier Cru 'Caillerets' is an extraordinary, elusive benchmark Chardonnay from one of Meursault’s finest premier cru sites. Sourced from a tiny 0.09-hectare parcel planted with ancient vines, the vineyard sits on steep, highly stony, iron-rich limestone soils ("cailloux") that impart remarkable power and electric tension. Vinified with legendary precision by Jean-François and Raphaël Coche, the wine undergoes long lees maturation in fine French oak barrels. 'Caillerets' delivers Coche's signature matchstick reduction alongside ripe citrus, intense stony minerality, and decades of cellar potential.
Food Pairing: Butter-poached lobster tail, pan-seared sea scallops, roasted turbot in cream sauce, wild mushroom risotto, and aged Comté cheese.
