Clos L'Eglise Pomerol 2022

Clos L'Église Pomerol 2022 is an opulent, rich, and deeply structured natural expression of the Right Bank, produced under the stewardship of Hélène Garcin-Lévêque. Sourced from a premier 5.9-hectare sloping parcel featuring iron-rich clay and gravel soils, the 2022 vintage incorporates an unusually high proportion of Cabernet Franc (30%), complementing the dominant Merlot. Spontaneously fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in French oak foudres and barrels, it opens with compelling aromas of dark plum preserves, bittersweet chocolate, crushed violets, graphite, and black truffle. On the palate, it is full-bodied, unctuous, and vibrant, framing a concentrated core of dark stone fruits with ripe, velvety tannins and a long, saline-tinged mineral finish.

Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with roasted rack of lamb, braised beef short ribs, grilled duck breast, venison loin, wild mushroom ragù, and aged Comté cheese.
