5 Sentidos Espadilla from Amando Alvarado Alvarez is made with wild maguey Espadilla (a. Sp.) in Santa Maria Ixcatlán, Oaxaca. As with all of Amando’s mezcal, the agaves were crushed by hand with wooden mallets, fermented in rawhide with spring water, and double distilled in clay pots.
