This bold, ripe cabernet franc comes from Foundation Vineyard in the South Okanagan, showing cherry compote and dried stemmy herbs that are shrouded in smoke. That smoke dries out the finish, leaving this rather harsh and astringent. A good effort in a challenging vintage, this medium-full bodied cabernet franc will pair nicely with grilled dried ribs.
